For direct attachment of an LPS filter to the
back of a Meade or Celestron SCT, we offer a
flexible solution -- an SCT compatible filter
holder for 48mm filters.
The filter holder consists of Borg components 7424 and 7502 which hold the LPS filter between the two pieces as shown below. The telescope-side piece is a female SCT-thread while the eyepiece/camera side provides a male SCT-threaded interface, making it easy to insert the filter into an SCT system.

Installation of the filter is illustrated at right.
The filter may be installed in either the 7424
or 7502 section, but installation in the 7502
part is recommended as illustrated at
right.
The filter holder can also be used for other 48mm filters if desired, and the 48mm filter can be used in standard 2" accessories which are threaded for filters. See part number LPS-48SCT in our filter price list for the combination filter holder plus 48mm LPS filter. If you do not need the LPS filter but still want the filter holder for your existing 48mm filters, you may order the holder parts separately. See Borg part numbers 7424 and 7502. |
