Medium Format Full Frame Samples

Images from Borg users are available in the Hutech Image Gallery

The set of full frame sample photographs from Borg scopes below were taken with medium format cameras and Kodak Ektachrome E200 film. Processing was limited to contrast adjustment and color balancing. No filtering (sharpening or background smoothing) or vignetting correction have been applied.

Medium Format Frame Edge Scans

This set of sample photographs from Borg scopes were taken with Pentax 67 medium format cameras and Kodak Ektachrome E200 film.

Each of the strip samples consist of 3 strips scanned along the long dimension of a 6x7 (or 6x9) frame The strips are scanned from the left edge, center, and right edge of the frame, respectively, as indicated by the light areas in the diagram at right.

As you view these samples, remember that external variables such seeing, tracking, and focus accuracy are unavoidably affecting these shots, so comparisons with other Borg scopes or other brands of scopes cannot be considered to be practical. However, one purpose of these samples is to allow you to see the vignetting and sharpness performance of the scopes at the extreme corners of the frames vs. the center.

If you are viewing this on a monitor standard of 72 dpi, you are looking at about a 10x magnification of the film image.
